The 2027 Kia Telluride arrives with a bolder design and premium interior

Kia has unveiled the next-generation Telluride ahead of its official debut at the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2027 model brings a significant redesign inside and out, elevating the popular three-row SUV with sharper styling, more interior space and a luxury-inspired cabin that pushes it closer to premium territory.

Since its introduction in 2020, the Telluride has been one of Kia’s most successful models, winning over families with its combination of comfort, practicality and value. The 2027 version builds on that reputation with a bolder look that emphasises rugged sophistication.

The exterior has been completely reworked with a taller, wider grille that extends to the headlights, which now adopt a vertical orientation. Different trims feature distinct grille finishes – gloss black with vertical slats for the SXP and a black mesh layout for the XRT. The new body design introduces sharper creases across the fenders and a sleeker roofline, giving the SUV a more athletic stance. Kia has also added a floating roof detail and new eight-spoke alloy wheels, while the X-Pro variant features bright orange recovery hooks for a tougher, off-road-inspired touch.

The Telluride’s proportions have grown slightly, with a wheelbase extended by nearly three inches and an overall length increase of about 2.3 inches. Now measuring 199.2 inches long, the 2027 model promises even more cabin and cargo space than before.

Inside, Kia has given the Telluride a more upscale atmosphere. The dashboard now features a dual-screen layout stretching across the driver and center console areas, expected to exceed the previous 12.3-inch setup. Premium materials, including real wood and metal accents, adorn the interior, while higher trims offer two-tone leather seats and mesh-style headrests. New interior colour options such as Deep Navy, Blackberry, Tuscan Umber and Sand Beige add further personalisation and luxury appeal.

Although Kia has not yet confirmed powertrain options, the Telluride is likely to share engines with the Hyundai Palisade, including a 3.5-litre V6 and a possible 2.5-litre turbo-hybrid setup. Full specifications and performance details are expected at the SUV’s official unveiling.
