Mahindra teases premium 7-seater XEV 9S electric SUV launching on November 27
Mahindra has unveiled the first teaser of its forthcoming electric SUV, the XEV 9S, which is set for a November 27, 2025 launch. Positioned as a premium 7-seater derivative of the XEV 9e, the new model is expected to broaden Mahindra’s electric SUV portfolio while emphasising luxury and practicality.
The teaser highlights a bold and futuristic design language. The XEV 9S sports a full-width LED light bar, vertically stacked LED headlamps, and an illuminated Twin Peaks logo, underscoring Mahindra’s evolving design identity. Other exterior highlights include retractable door handles and a panoramic sunroof, features that align with the brand’s modern electric SUV lineup.
Built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, the XEV 9S will likely share much of its underpinnings with the XEV 9e but offer additional space and comfort for larger families. Inside, it is expected to feature a triple-screen setup similar to its sibling, combining cutting-edge connectivity and digital instrumentation.
On the performance front, the XEV 9S is speculated to come with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, providing a balance between performance and efficiency. It will also likely include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), emphasising safety and technology integration.
With the XEV 9S, Mahindra appears to be targeting customers seeking a premium, feature-rich, and family-oriented electric SUV, further strengthening its position in India’s growing EV market.
