The Realme Neo8 has just gone official in China. It is the latest entry in the Neo series and comes with a large 8,000mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The phone is available for purchase in three colors.
It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The Neo8 uses the Samsung M14 panel that is claimed to deliver a peak brightness of 6,500 nits.
At the back, the phone features a transparent design with the ‘Awakening Halo’ RGB light strip that corresponds to notifications and more. The rear panel is made from glass and gets a transparent design. The Neo8 boasts a metal frame and has an IP69 rating.
It gets a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP JN5 periscope telephoto unit with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, the Neo8 offers a 16MP camera.
The 8,000mAh battery inside the phone supports up to 80W SuperVOOC charging along with bypass charging.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC is paired with UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. It also features a large vapor chamber. The phone runs Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 and comes with several AI features. It is said to receive three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches.
Other specs of the Realme Neo8 include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, infrared blaster, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, and stereo speakers. The phone measures 8.3mm thick and weighs 215g.
It is currently available for sale in China in Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White color options.
The Realme Neo8 starts at CNY 2,599 ($370) for the 12GB/256GB option, whereas the 12GB/512GB variant is priced at CNY 3,099 ($445).
You can also have the phone in the 16GB/256GB option for CNY 2,899 ($415), or the 16GB/512GB model for CNY 3,399 ($490). Finally, there’s also a 16GB/1TB variant that’s priced at CNY 3,899 ($560).
