Skoda plans a 2026 second batch of Octavia RS in India after strong demand

Skoda’s new Octavia RS has generated strong demand in India, with the first batch of 100 units selling out even before the company announced pricing. The model’s dedicated enthusiast following ensured that all units were booked on the very first day reservations opened. With many prospective buyers left waiting, Skoda is now exploring the possibility of bringing additional units to the market in early 2026.

According to company representatives, Skoda has received close to 350 bookings for the Octavia RS so far. Before accepting new orders, the manufacturer intends to prioritise customers who have already registered their interest. Skoda plans to stay in touch with these buyers as it works toward securing more units while operating within the country’s 2500-unit import allowance and maintaining feasible pricing.

The Octavia RS currently arrives in India as a fully imported model, which limits the number of vehicles the brand can bring in each year. Even so, Skoda aims to make a second batch available next year so that more enthusiasts have the opportunity to purchase the performance sedan.
